Itinerary
Day 1: Discovering the Best of Melbourne
Your weekend adventure in Melbourne begins as you depart from Traralgon at 8:00 AM. With a coffee stop along the way then, heading to our check-in in Melbourne City. We’ll be using the famous city loop tram to navigate the city but first, we’ll pick up food for our BBQ lunch on our aqua-donut BBQ boat on the Yarra.
After lunch, we’re off for a walk along the Yarra where we’ll pop into crown Casino to see the lights and sounds, try our luck at the games, and enjoy a drink at the bar (your shout!).
Getting closer to sunset we head to Eureka Sky Deck, where you will be greeted with breathtaking views of the city. Take in the 360-degree views of Melbourne and admire the city's iconic landmarks from the sky.
We’ll find dinner along the way and end the day on a high note, either collapsing exhausted to bed or attending a live gig near our accommodation, enjoying live music and dancing the night away.
Day 2: More Adventure in Melbourne
The second day of your adventure in Melbourne will start with breakfast and a visit to the Melbourne Botanical Gardens, where you can stroll through the lush gardens and marvel at the variety of plants and flowers on display, before crossing the bridge to Federation Square and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), where you can admire the cutting-edge exhibitions, interact with the interactive displays, and learn about the history of film, videogames and digital media in Australia.
For lunch, you will head to Melbourne's famous China Town, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the many restaurants and the opportunity to shop for souvenirs and take photos.
